She’s been working with children and youth for over 20 years, combining artistic, pedagogical and psychological experience. After graduating theatre school, in parallel with her acting work, she became involved in artistic education. She worked in educational and pedagogical institutions in Warsaw, conducted theatre classes and development workshops, and created original artistic projects for children and youth. Founder and leader of Pracownia Teatralna, a place of artistic education where young people develop through theatre, work with text, movement, and music. For years, she’s been creating and directing performances with young performers, and running theatre projects, workshops and artistic camps. She also works with the Mazovia Institute of Culture, including on projects dedicated to the artistic education of children and youth. For five years she was associated with Polskie Radio Dzieciom (Polish Radio for Children), where she prepared and hosted original programs created with the participation of children, including “Łowcy Dziecięcych Przygód” (Children’s Adventure Hunters). In recent years, filmmaking and preparing young people for work in front of the camera have become a particularly important area of her work. As a director for children, an acting coach, and a consultant responsible for the psychological safety of young actors, she works both during the pre-production phase and on-set. She was the second children’s director and acting coach for the children’s series “Matki Pingwinów”. She was responsible for the children’s acting training for the film “Vinci 2” and for the short film “Oktawa”, directing the children and collaborating on the casting. As also worked as a consultant for scenes involving children and young people on the productions of “Rojst. Millenium”, “Heweliusz”, “Macocha” and the series “Ołowiane Dzieci”. She was responsible for the psychological support of children on the set of the film “Dom dobry” and the series “Langer”, and in the television show “Winny” she was a child psychology consultant. Her work with young actors combines acting training with concern for their well-being and psychological safety. She is particularly interested in how children’s stories are told in cinema and in creating work environments in which young actors can remain children while consciously and creatively participating in the filmmaking process. She works therapeutically with children and youths and provides consultations for parents. She also draws on her psychotherapy experience in filmmaking, particularly in preparing children for emotionally demanding roles and scenes.
