Doll animation

When we’re kids we make toys come to life with the power of our imagination. In MediaLab we’ll do it with the art of puppet animation. It’s an incredibly creative art form which lets you tell stories using physical objects.

In the workshop space you’ll be able to create stage design using magnetic blocks and make cities build themselves in front of your eyes. The inhabitants of this city are Stikbots - dolls with suction cups for limbs that stick to various surfaces. Thank to their incredible flexibility and the abbility to stay in position, Stikbots are perfect dolls for animation, achieving wide range of movement and expression. Using stop motion animation you’ll create movies full of colours, dynamics and interaction between the characters.
