Rescuing a baby orangutan, cousin Selaï’s visit, discovering family secrets, and saving a forest: all of that will change the life of Kéria, a girl who lives on the island of Borneo with her dad.
The lush jungle is home and sanctuary to many animals and indigenous people. But the forest is continually destroyed for palm oil plantations. 11-year-old Kéria, who lives in a nearby town, did not see that as a problem in the beginning – after all, her father also works as a woodsman. When the girl rescues Oshi, a baby orangutan, and meets her cousin who is a member of a local tribe, she will understand that she has much more in common with the wild nature around her than she previously thought. This stop-motion animation offers a compassionate perspective on the world that is disappearing before our eyes. The filmmakers have used natural and recycled materials to create it.
