Fox and Hare Save the Forest

Fuchs und Hase retten den Wald

dir. Mascha Halberstad
Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium 2024 / 72’
dubbing, English subtitles in cinemas

Fox and Hare are two friends who live in a forest. They take matters into their own paws when their close neighbour Owl disappears mysteriously and the entire forest is about to be flooded.

There have always been streams and pools near the forest animals’ homes, but there’s much more water there this time. The forest inhabitants are surprised to find a huge lake among the trees – it wasn’t there a couple of days ago. Fox, Hare, and their friends quickly realise that this is Beaver’s doing – the bossy animal has just completed the work of his life. The protagonists will join forces to convince the stubborn builder that making a dam in this place isn’t a good idea. He won’t yield easily, though – after all, he put a lot of time and effort into creating the perfect dam.
