H is for Happiness

Candice is an incurable optimist with a desire to fix the world around her. Her greatest challenge is pulling her own family out of crisis. Will the 12-year-old manage to infect her loved ones with happiness?

When life gives you lemons, make lemonade – this sentence defines 12-year-old Candice perfectly. The girl's great optimism makes her a quirk among her peers. Even so, the red-haired protagonist goes through life confidently and wants to help others: a teacher with a divergent eye, a new classmate “from another world”, and above all – her own family, which is having a difficult time. But how do you convince stubborn adults to come out of their shells?

In the eyes of the festival programmer…

It's a movie that you will remember for years. A wonderful main character, dazzling colours, beautiful cinematography and music. A fun and clever story for both younger and older audiences. I still remember the laughter combined with shock when Mrs. Bamford and her whirling eye appeared on the screen!
