This is Albert Albertson. Aged 6. Albert dreams of having a dog, just like the one the magician next door has. How about some magic to make his greatest wish come true? So, hocus-pocus, Albert Albertson…

Hocus-pocus, Albert Albertson is the film adaptation of the adventures of the preschooler best known to children from a series of books by Gunilla Bergström, the acclaimed Swedish children's author and illustrator. This is a story about growing up, responsibility, magic, and dreams coming true in the ways you least expect. A boy dreams of having a dog, but his father thinks it is way too early for that. Albert believes that magic tricks are the way to make his dream come true, and he is introduced to the world by a magician he befriends. It turns out, however, that it's not as simple as it sounds.
