11-year-old Hedvig's dad is a superlion, or superhero in a lion costume, who keeps the city safe. In the future, Hedvig is supposed to take his place. Will she manage to live up to her dad's expectations?

No one knows who the superlion is – apart from Hedvig, whose family members have been the city-saving superheroes for generations. Now this job belongs to her dad, but in the future, Hedvig will be taking over. Unfortunately, the people close to her don’t support the girl and make her believe that she lacks the strength and physical agility of a superhero. However, when she first puts on her superlion costume, she discovers that it gives her special superpowers, although not necessarily the same as her dad's. Hedvig will realise that being a superhero is not about strength and speed, but about smartness and wanting to help others. Will Hedvig become a real superheroine?
