Jo is a superheroine. She uses her power of will to move objects, freeze time, and even change the score of a football game. She is about to face the biggest challenge of her life.

Jo is an extraordinary little girl, blessed by fate with great powers. All she needs to do is focus, and she can move objects, freeze time, and knock things out of people's hands. She never does it for her own sake, but always for a good cause, as superheroes do. The little girl's abilities keep her mother Kathryn awake at night, worried about her child's fragile health. Jo is sick and needs to take it easy. How to juggle these two challenges? How to save the world and look after her health at the same time? Jo's sister comes up with a great idea and gets the whole village involved in shooting a superhero movie.

In the eyes of the festival programmer…

I am in awe of this film for dealing with the topic of illness within the realm of an adventure film, emphasising the superpowers that come from the community, and a successful German-Kenyan co-production aimed at young audiences.
