We’ve just wrapped up an intense and inspiring opening of the 12th TAURON Young Horizons International Film Festival. The opening weekend was full of cinematic experiences, meetings, workshops, children’s joy, and great energy – take a look at how much fun we’ve had!

Paleontology and photography workshops, origami lessons, a live music screening, a Secret Screening with 2115 – these were just some of the fantastic attractions awaiting young audiences in Warsaw.

An Opening Full of Cinematic Experiences

At Warsaw’s Kino Muranów, the festival was inaugurated with the Polish premiere of Arco by Ugo Bienvenu – a visually stunning title awarded the Silver Cristal, the main prize for Best Feature Film, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. This animation, brimming with adventure and hope, also offers a timeless lesson in solidarity, told without simplifications yet in a way that remains accessible to young audiences. In Wrocław, at Kino Nowe Horyzonty, the festival opened with the classic E.T. (dir. Steven Spielberg), a story of friendship that continues to touch the hearts of successive generations of film lovers.

The 12th TAURON Young Horizons IFF offers not only a carefully curated film program but also a wealth of side events that spark imagination and creativity.
