A 12-year-old boy named Abe, who loves to cook, wants to bridge the gap between his Palestinian and Israeli families with a very special feast. To do this, he starts learning how to combine flavours with the help of the unusual chef Chico.

To his Muslim grandparents, he is Ibrahim, to his Jewish grandfather, he is Abraham, and he simply calls himself Abe. This 12-year-old boy's true passion is cooking. Torn between two cultures, Abe sets out to bring the two families together at the dinner table. In secret from his parents, he finds a popular online chef, Chico, specialising in blending flavours from all over the world, and decides to learn the craft of cooking from him. Can the boy prepare a unique feast that will bridge the gap between their families? Abe is one of Young Horizons' most flavoursome dishes, demonstrating the strength of the young protagonist’s passion and determination, as well as the problems that can arise from prejudice.
