Young skateboarders are disgruntled – their skate park is going to be turned into a large car park. Mia, a new girl in the neighbourhood, joins them to thwart the construction company’s plans. Will she succeed?
12-year-old Mia has just moved to a new city with her dad and she’s trying to make new friends. This isn’t easy: she misses her mum, and her schoolmates form a close-knit, hermetic group. But as the saying goes, a friend in need is a friend indeed. Mia teams up with a skate gang to save the local skate park from demolition. The girl has inside knowledge about the plan, because her father supervises the workers on the site. To save the green area and the place where they can do their skate tricks, the protagonists will need to be open, astute, and willing to cooperate.
