Mona, who is on the autism spectrum, is worried that she won't make friends at her new school. Twins Rémi and Raphaël are close while growing up, but due to the intellectual disability of one of them, they are becoming increasingly distant from each other. Julie lost both her parents at a very early age and finds strength in the loved ones who surround her. On a small Irish island, Cian helps out his grandfather, who works as a ram breeder, although he would sometimes prefer to hang out with his friends. This warm and moving documentary tells the story of what is essential in life – being close to another human being.
