The animation is based on the well-known book series by Sylvia Vanden Heede, illustrated by Thé Tjong-Khing? The film had its world premiere at the Berlinale film festival.
The Owl disappears under mysterious circumstances. His neighbours, the adorable pair of friends, the Fox, and the Hare, take matters into their own paws. Meanwhile, the whole forest may be flooded….
In the forest, there have always been streams and puddles, but this time there is much more water. A new, giants lake has emerged from behind the trees, and the animals are surprised. Fox, Hare, and their friends soon realise that this is the work of a certain bossy Beaver, who has just completed his life’s work. Together, the animals have to convince the stubborn builder that building a dam in this location is not the best idea. Beaver, however, is not going to give up so easily because he has spent a lot of time perfecting the dam.
