It's 1989. Germany is divided into two countries. 12-year-old Fritzi is missing her friend who stays in the west of the country. The teenager doesn't agree with the vision of a divided world and joins a peaceful revolution.

East Germany, 1989. Fritzi's friend Sophie goes on vacation abroad, placing her dog under her care. In the autumn, Sophie doesn't return to school – she stays in West Germany. Fritzi observes how the divisions between the better and the worse ones are growing at the school, and clandestine meetings are being organised around her. The 12-year-old witnesses a peaceful revolution. She wants to see her friend again and return her dog, so she courageously heads to the border of the divided country.

The moving and unique animation explores the turmoil of history from a child's perspective. The filmmakers successfully conveyed the atmosphere of the 1989 transformation in an accessible yet authentic way for young audiences.
