Iris – set

Fear of the unknown, anxiety, and the feeling that you can’t be yourself – the protagonists of these three films know these emotions very well. Elliot, Iris, and Gabriel are faced with new challenges. Will they follow their own ways?

Ten-year-old Elliot from Norway won’t admit that he feels uneasy on his holiday at his grandparents’ house in France. He’s afraid of strange places, especially Brouillarta, which his cousins talk about a lot. Iris is an imaginative girl and tells everyone she has seen a unicorn. She often tells invented stories, and her mum chides her for that. Gabriel wants to join a choir known for raising donations for refugees and he feels ashamed of his father who has had a fight with one of them. The protagonists of these films cannot always say what they feel and want. With the help of their loved ones, they will learn how to be true to themselves.

Did you know…?

A typical Norwegian sledge is different from the one you might know. The Scandinavian kicksled looks like a chair with a high backrest mounted on a pair of long runners. One person is sitting on the chair part, and the other is standing on the runners, using their legs to push, kick, and glide.
