Lars is LOL

Amanda starts her sixth year at school. The school tradition is that she must take care of one of the new first-year pupils now. Instead, she’s tasked with becoming a companion to Lars, a new student in her class, who has Down syndrome.

Initially, Amanda is rather reluctant to take on her new task. Many students make fun of Lars and his syndrome, and the girl is concerned about her peers’ views. With time, Amanda and Lars become good friends. They spend hours playing and tucking in the delicacies that the boy´s dad prepares. However, peer pressure makes the girl hurt her friend. Will she make it up with him and make amends? Amanda will understand that she needs to stand up to others to be true to herself.
