Lucy Lost

Lucy is a very special white-haired little girl who would like to be as free as a bird, but her unusual gift makes this difficult – she sees things that no one else can see. Because of this mysterious gift, Lucy’s overprotective family tries to shield her from gossip and misunderstanding. The appearance of a new friend will awaken the girl’s courage to learn the truth about her past and fight for her freedom.

Eleven-year-old Lucy lives on a British island, and although the war seems far away, its shadow looms over her everyday life. Kept under a protective watch, the girl stands out from others not only because of her appearance, but also because of her extraordinary sensitivity. Her strangeness and mysterious visions arouse curiosity of the villagers, which soon gives way to suspicion.

Everything changes when an imaginary friend from America, Millie, appears in her life. Millie seems to embody the freedom and bravery that Lucy can only dream of. Thanks to her, the girl embarks on a journey to uncover the secret behind her powers and the truth about her origins.

Lucy Lost is a visually stunning animated film that premiered at the Cannes Film Festival. It was also selected for the competition at Annecy, the world’s most important animation film festival.
