Can you see the sea? Paul’s family never stops to think about that because the annual picnic on the cosy Callot Island is an essential part of their summer holiday. This year, things will take a different turn. The boy’s father checked the wrong weather forecast and the family must spend the night on the beach because the tide is high. For Paul, this night will be like a boot camp where he will learn independence and understand what it means to be yourself. The film received the César Award for Best Animated Short Film – the award is considered the French equivalent to the Oscars.
