Totsuko can see colours in other people. She’s delighted with the shade of blue that her friend emanates and she invites her and a newly met boy to start a band together. Music will become their means of expression.

Totsuko is a high school student who sees the world differently – she has the ability to perceive the colours that people radiate. Her friend Kimi shines with the most beautiful colour Totsuko has ever seen. Kimi has just dropped out of a catholic boarding school, which Totsuko attends, but she’s afraid to tell her grandmother about that. Rui is an introverted boy whose mother wants him to study medicine, just like all his family. This unique trio of outsiders meets at a used bookstore one day. Totsuko suggests that the three friends start a band, even though she can’t play any instrument. The music will help the teenagers open their hearts and will become a safe space where they can tell each other their secrets.
