Karl develops photos using traditional analogue techniques in his home darkroom? This was the standard way of photography until the mid-1970s, when Steven Sasson, an engineer at Kodak, invented a prototype digital camera. It weighed about 3.6 kilograms!
Twelve-year-old Karl still hasn't revealed his feelings to his classmate Lea. His brother encourages him to be honest, but the boy is still holding out for the right moment. Perhaps he'll tell her on the upcoming school trip?
Karl, a sweet but somewhat shy twelve-year-old, has been putting off a serious conversation with a girl he likes. He has already shared his passion for photography with Lea, but now it's time for the next step. His older brother, who has a better understanding of romantic relationships, encourages Karl to act. An upcoming school trip might help him muster up the courage. Not only will the entire class spend a few days together, but they will also work on a film about… love. There's excitement in the air, and plenty of big questions – about first kisses, love, and the fine line between love and friendships. Soon, it becomes clear that Karl is not the only one catching feelings.
The screening is accompanied by a short film, The World I Live In (directed by Ester Kasalova, 8')
