The opening weekend of the 13th TAURON Young Horizons IFF has come to an end. The first days of the festival were filled with cinematic emotions, thought-provoking meetings, creative workshops, and – above all – smiling children. Everyone was having fun – check this out!
The opening ceremony, workshops focused on designing bags and Film Explorers’ Badges, meetings with filmmakers, debates, and a screening with live music – these are just some of the special attractions for young viewers that accompanied the films.
Cinematic emotions starting off the festival adventures
The 13th TAURON Young Horizons International Film Festival began at Kino Muranów in Warsaw, with a screening of Lucy Lost (dir. Olivier Clert). We presented this film soon after the Cannes Film Festival and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival! This moving and visually stunning story about the quest for one’s identity and freedom and the courage to confront one’s past appealed to both the youngest and mature viewers.
The festival programme is full of quality films for children, teenagers, and young adults alike. There are also numerous satellite events that add to the overall cinematic experience and boost creativity.
The onsite edition of the TAURON Young Horizons Festival runs from 25 September to 4 October in towns and cities across Poland, with the main venues in Warsaw and Wrocław. From 8 to 25 October, selected programme items will be available online as well, at festiwal.mlodehoryzonty.pl.
