DJ Ahmet

15-year-old Ahmet spends his days herding sheep and looking after his younger brother, but deep down he wants to be a DJ. He crosses paths with Aya, another teen who dreams of a different life.

In the Macedonian village of Yuruk, tradition still prevails over modernity. Young people tend to start families quickly and start working on the farm. Ahmet, a bright boy living with his father and younger brother, would likely meet a similar fate, but he secretly dreams of… a DJing career. He admires raves and equips his tractor with a sound system. Ahmet's fascination is met with objections from his father, but the boy quickly finds common ground with Aya, a dancer in a local band, whose parents want to marry off prematurely. Music will give the teens the strength to fight for their dreams and rebel against all kinds of expectations.
