Gunilla and Gunnar are ill. They feel down watching through the window as other kids play in the snow and make snowmen. They will be uplifted by a gift from their parents – a cuckoo clock that hides a surprise. The wooden bird comes to life and tells them four magical Christmas stories based on the books by the Swedish author Astrid Lindgren.
