Dancing Queen

A well-known hip-hop dancer moves to the town where twelve-year-old Mina lives. She falls head over heels in love with him, and when he organises auditions for a dance group, she decides to learn to dance and catch his eye.

Mina is a somewhat shy pupil who loves nothing more than spending time with her best friend Markus. A new, handsome lad has just moved to her town, known on social media as E.D. Win – one of Norway’s best young hip-hop dancers. The boy charms Mina, and when he sets up a dance group at her school, she immediately signs up, even though she actually… cannot dance. Fortunately, her grandmother – a former dancer – is there to help her. However, Mina begins to feel the pressure from her peers – she becomes unhappy with her body, starts dieting, and changes the way she dresses. And although she doubts her abilities for a while, thanks to her perseverance and the support of her loved ones, she understands that the most important thing in life is to always be yourself.
