“The wedding bells have such a sweet sound, but a sour echo” – these are the words that open the comedy One Week. And indeed, the first days of marriage for the protagonist, played by Buster Keaton, are a true survival test. A relative gives the newlyweds land and a house, in pieces for them to assemble themselves! As if that were not enough, a jealous suitor spitefully swaps the numbers on the crates containing the building components. From then on, the young husband’s construction efforts turn into a chain of disasters, and the final result is far from ideal.
