The strongest girl in the world, a horse living on the veranda, and a suitcase full of gold coins – it would be hard to imagine a more extraordinary neighbour than Pippi Longstocking! When the red-haired girl moves into the abandoned villa next door to Tommy and Annika, their lives are turned upside down.
Instead of going to school, Pippi spends her days with her monkey, Mr Nilsson, and her beloved horse. She sleeps with her feet on the pillow, bakes pancakes on the floor, and always does things her own way. Although adults occasionally cross her path and try to force her to respect the rules of “normal life”, Pippi has no intention of giving up her freedom, imagination, or boundless curiosity about the world. Together with her new friends, she sets off on a series of madcap adventures in which anything seems possible. Will Tommy and Annika be able to keep up with the most extraordinary girl in the world?
