When the Snow Has Melted - set

10-12 Polish premiere

Three short films in which young protagonists face various challenges, many of them greater than they may seem at first glance. These stories mark the beginning of tales about empathy, courage, and inner strength.

Sometimes just a single sentence is enough to change someone’s entire life, and a single tear is enough to break down inner walls. Returning to school after a painful experience, dealing with the difficult emotions surrounding their parents’ divorce, or unexpectedly coming across a vulnerable fledgling: the protagonists of these three Norwegian films face a range of challenging situations. Each of them tries to find their own way of coping with sadness, anger, loneliness, or responsibility for others. Although their stories are different, they share one important discovery – even in the most difficult moments, no one has to be alone.

Did you know that…
…a fledgling found on the ground does not always need human help? Many young birds leave the nest before they can fly, while their parents continue to care for them nearby. If a bird is injured or in immediate danger, however, it is worth contacting the local authorities or a wildlife rehabilitation centre, where specialists can decide how best to help it.
