The year is 1650, in the town of Kilkenny, Ireland. Robyn has just moved here with her dad. The town is surrounded by a high wall, separating the townsfolk from their enemy – the wolves that attack sheep and destroy crops. A girl who marches to the beat of her own drum sneaks out of the settlement and bravely explores the dangerous forest inhabited by wild animals. During one of her expeditions, she unexpectedly meets the spirited, red-haired Mebh from a mysterious tribe of wolfwalkers who transform into wolves under the cover of night. Thanks to this new friendship, Robyn will question everything she has previously heard about wolves, discover just how harmful prejudice can be, and learn the great value that comes from openness to the unknown and unfamiliar
