In Between Waves

For eleven-year-old Sana, surfing becomes more than just fun – it is a way to overcome her fears and build self-confidence. While attending a therapy camp, the Afghan girl gradually comes to terms with the sea and her own limitations. In her home country, many activities are only available to boys – just like surfing, through which she discovers a rare sense of freedom and strength.
