Two Sides of Summer – set

From separate holidays with mum and dad, through a surfing camp, to the world of Dungeons & Dragons – these three documentaries show how young people learn courage, closeness, and how to find themselves in a world full of challenges.

The films Two Sides of Summer, In Between Waves, and Dungeons & Spectrums paint a moving picture of childhood and the challenges that come with it, challenges that require courage and adaptability. The protagonists deal with their parents’ separation, sociocultural constraints, and difficulties in understanding their emotions. Although their stories unfold in different places and contexts, they are united by a need for closeness, acceptance, and a sense of security. Each film shows how young people, with the support of friends and family, and their own imagination, learn to navigate reality and find their place within it.
